My name is Michael and I am 12 years old. I live in New York in America. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day and I don’t have to go to school for two days. Thanksgiving is always on the fourth Thursday in November every year. On this day we have a big family dinner. I help my parents cook the meal. We have a large roast turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and more. For dessert, we have pumpkin pie. I always eat too much. Before we eat, we take turns to say what we are thankful for. Last year, I said I was thankful for my parents.
